There was once a wealthy man who kept a very obedient dog. One day, the master was about to travel far and instructed the dog to guard the house. The dog agreed and left. After several days, when the master returned, he found that his home had been burglarized and all valuables were gone. However, the dog was lying at the door as if it hadn't noticed anything. The master became angry, blaming the dog for neglecting its duty, and ordered others to beat it. The dog cried pitifully, but the master remained unmoved.
The next day, the dog suddenly ran to a nearby village and saw a butcher about to slaughter another dog. This dog rushed at the butcher, biting his leg tightly. The butcher screamed for help. Villagers heard the commotion and came over to inquire about the situation. They learned that this dog was the stolen property from the neighboring household and thus handed the butcher over to the authorities. Upon interrogation, the butcher confessed without hesitation, and the thief was also captured. All of the original master's belongings were recovered.
Upon hearing the news, the master was overjoyed. He personally went to the butcher's place to retrieve his beloved dog and prepared generous gifts to thank him. From then on, people in the neighborhood called this dog the "righteous dog."
