【中秋节六年级英语作文(小学六年级英语作文)】The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. It usually comes in September or October every year. This year, I had a very happy Mid-Autumn Festival with my family.
On the evening of the festival, my parents and I went to my grandparents' house. We brought some mooncakes and fruits. My grandfather told me about the story of Chang’e and Hou Yi. I listened carefully and found it very interesting. The story says that Chang’e drank the magic elixir and flew to the moon, where she lives with a rabbit.
After dinner, we sat outside and looked at the bright full moon. It was so beautiful! My mother said that the moon represents family reunion. Even though we are far away from each other, the moon can bring us together. I felt very lucky to have such a warm family.
During the festival, I also learned how to make mooncakes with my mother. It was a little difficult, but I enjoyed it a lot. We made small round cakes with different fillings like red bean and lotus seed. Everyone loved them!
I think the Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a time to eat delicious food and look at the moon, but also a time to remember our family and traditions. I hope we can always have this special day together.
This is my favorite festival because it makes me feel close to my family and proud of my Chinese culture.
